Kraken Sense is a company focusing on taking  the time-intensive laboratory procedure to check for pathogens and automate it in a small unit.

As a mechanical engineering intern at Kraken Sense it was my responsibility to prototype a an automated version of a centrifuge system traditionally used in a lab.

Due to signing an NDA I am limited with the information I can provide. 

The system included a mix of 3D printed and COTS components. After several iterations, I am proud that I was able to deliver a prototype capable of autonomously filling the test tubes, spinning at 5000+ rpm for several minutes, and depositing the developed pellets.
