The objective of this project was to fulfill the need of irrigating soil to specific moisture levels to successfully cultivate plant life under $100. As a part of a group, I prototyped a robot that fulfills this requirement using LEGO EV3 and C++ programming.
The robot is able to transport water from a tank to the desired location using an extendable arm and a custom 3D printed peristaltic pump. The robot autonomously follows a line using color sensors and waters for the appropriate duration as dictated by the colored squares along its path.
